Gameplay
The four actions, card costs, reserves, gem limit, and noble visits in Splendor.
Take gems
Take one token each from three different colors. If the supply does not have enough tokens to take three different colors, you may take two tokens or even one. Alternatively, take two tokens of one color only if at least four of that color were in the supply immediately before taking them. Gold is never taken with these actions.
Reserve a card
Take one face-up development card into your hand or draw the top card of any level deck unseen. If a gold token remains, take one. You can hold at most three reserved cards. Reserving is useful to deny an opponent a card or save a card whose cost you are approaching; the card itself does not score until bought.
Buy a development card
Pay its printed cost with tokens, reducing each color’s cost by one for each matching bonus card you own. Gold may replace a missing color. Keep the bought card face up in front of you; its color bonus is permanent. Refill the market slot from the same level deck.
Noble visit
After resolving your action and any required hand-limit discard, check the visible nobles. If your bonuses meet a tile’s color requirements, take one eligible noble. If several are eligible, choose one; a second noble cannot be claimed until a later turn. Nobles cost no action or tokens.
Token limit
At the end of your turn, return tokens of your choice if you hold more than ten. Reserved cards do not count toward this limit.
