Learn Splendor
Learn the game in 5 short steps. Everything links to the full rules.
Setup
Start with the three level decks and reveal four cards from each. Reveal nobles: 3 for two players, 4 for three, or 5 for four. Supply 4, 5, or 7 tokens of each gem color respectively; keep all 5 gold tokens in every game. Setup.
Your Turn
Choose one action: take three different colors, take two of one color if at least four were available beforehand, reserve a card, or buy one card. Gold only comes from reserving, when available. Refill the matching market slot after a card is bought or reserved. Actions.
Build Discounts
Bought cards stay in your display. Each bonus reduces future costs of that color by one, and discounts apply before spending tokens. Collect varied colors for nobles; take a valuable expensive card when its discounts put it within reach. Card costs.
Nobles
At the end of your turn, check whether your permanent bonuses match any visible noble. Claim at most one; if more than one is available, save the others for later turns. The same bonuses can qualify you for more nobles because they are not spent. Noble visits.
Finish
A player reaching 15 prestige at turn end triggers the last round; everyone gets the same number of turns. Count prestige on bought cards and nobles. Ties go to the player with fewer bought development cards, then remain shared if still tied. Scoring.
